I have been trying to take a photo a day this year.
For one thing, it's kind of great to see the year in pictures.
For a second thing, I feel like it can only do my photos good if I practice every day (or close to it).
I haven't spoken about it here because by Jan 5 or so I had already missed a day.
Is this a symptom of my life-long failure to complete big projects?
Oh well, I have been feeling lately like I should let go of the past and accept my faults and others' so I might as well start with my flickr 365 project.
One side effect of wanting to take a photo every day is that I often come home after work and realize that I haven't taken any yet.
This leads to underlit
or hastily taken photos.
I took the last one out of the car window at a stoplight.
I am coming to see the beauty in these photos.
Maybe just so I can justify adding them to the group...
Why not? They're part of your year after all.
ReplyDeletei applaud you for trying to do one a day!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what happened but yesterday I didn't show any posts for you in my bloglines and today there are 19. Holy smokes!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Love that you're doing a 365. What has scared me away is ending up with forced photographs. However, when I've done a month stint I love how I start to look at things differently. And you're right, the more you do it the better you get.
