Looking on the Bright Side

This has been a spectacularly wet day.

My favorite side effect of the rain is the drops on our little peony.

The rain began at 3:15 this morning, and didn't stop until 12:00 or 1:00.
Our basement has been filling with water all day, and I spent a considerable amount of time mopping.
The yard is a swamp, at one point when I went out the water was ankle deep in the grass.
We went out to have a mud squishing party, and  then back to more mopping.
Looking on the bright side, the flooding could have far, far worse. The vast majority of our storage is in rubbermaid tubs, and they just need a quick wipedown. And that big fluffy peony is the icing on the bright side cake.
