Still Knitting

I finished the Sweater for The Youngest last Thursday, but it ended up being a little short.

The Youngest picked a few motifs from my Lucinda Guy book, and I am in the process of adding length to the sleeves and bottom hem.
One of the things I love about this book is that space ships and robots were available for The Youngest to choose, and she did.
I am not quite sure about the robots, though, I think they'll end up being too long. I think I am going to pull them out and redraw the chart to a smaller scale.
The left sleeve is finished, so all that remains is the right sleeve and finishing up the hem.

Wow, that is one intricate sweater. Good for you for having the patience to do that! I have tried colour work just a couple of times and have given up in frustration (I pull it too tight) so this year I have decided I'm going to give it another go...with stockings, something that doesn't have to fit precisely.
Fantastic work. Hopping over from KCCO.

Wow, that sweater is gorgeous. I'm sure it won't be too long with the robots, probably just right!!

What an amazing sweater! I hope the lengthening process goes smoothly.

So cute! You could cut the robots below the hips (so that the arms are still on the sweater).

Oh stunning!! I yearn to do colorwork but haven't really tried diving in yet, just a bit that was really a failure last year but I am determined to try again. This kind of work is a long way off for me, but it's so darling!

I would leave the robots in and have it be long. That is a great sweater.
