Yarn Along

This week was full of knitting.
I finished Peasy, the buttons are sewn on and now it's sitting, waiting patiently for fall.
I mentioned the other day that I have been watching a lot of tv lately, in the evenings we have been catching up on HBO shows, and I have been doing a lot of knitting all the while.
The blue above is the Mystic Pullover from New England Knits.
It's very satisfying to knit on 10s after a long time on size 4 and 6 needles.
The white is a hat to send along to Ginny (our Yarn Along Hostess). She's collecting hats to send to Japan for tsunami victims. It's not too late to get a hat made and sent off by the Friday deadline! (update: Ginny says that it is too late to send them to her. She wanted the hats by Friday, so if you email her she'll give you another address to send the hats directly to the woman who will be distributing them.)
The book needs no introduction.
I am excited to see the final Harry Potter film this weekend and I wanted to re-immerse myself in that world beforehand.
What are you reading and knitting these days?

  1. I'm feeling the Harry Potter excitement although I don't know if I'll get out to see it as soon as I'd like.

Congratulations on all that knitting!! The pullover looks beautiful.

  3. Holy Horse! I can't wait to see the final HP movie, either!

I love that sweater and I like how it's named for a town in my state (Connecticut).

  4. I love the name "mystic pullover" ... I can just see it being worn on a misty island in the northern Hebrides by monks ;-). I still haven't seen the 1st half of HP VII! At this rate I might as well reread Deathly Hallows before I see both movies! Have fun this weekend!

  5. That is such a vibrant blue. I love it. I bet your Peasy will be so comfy this fall.

We're in Potter mania here, too. Chase got to see the first part at a midnight showing and absolutely loved the experience. We're all ready to go again!

  8. Have great fun at the movie. I'll see it, someday! Not too much knitting with me either! ;) Got to rip out those mistakes before I can forge ahead. I'm procrastinating... hey, it's summer!

  10. Lovwe the mystic pullover and the color is great! I have been wanting to get that book, I may have to just break down and do it.

And while I'm not a Harry Potter fan the rest of the house is and can't wait.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit at my blog today.

    Blessings, Elizabeth

  11. I'm currently knitting a shawl on size 10's and it's coming along rather quickly - it's one of a Through the Loops pattern and I love it.
Your sweater and hat look fabulous!
