I love backyard picnics.
Our food tastes better if we're sitting on the ground.
We listen to and watch the birds, squirrels, and bugs.
We watch the clouds.
We look for airplanes.
We read books in the sunlight.
The clean-up is as easy as shaking our blanket and taking in the dishes.
Today I mark the First Outdoor Picnic of 2008.
What a sweet little scene. Yes my kids are always making up picnics and spreading out blankets of all sorts in the yard. Sometimes they'll bring out all the bedding from their room!
