weaving

This morning I began a weaving class at The Yarnery.
So much fun.
So much information in the first class what with wrapping the warping board and lining everything up and tension and whatnot.
I got started on a scarf in class and when I brought the loom home my lovely Elder Hug-a-Bug was very interested in this new project.
So, I set her up in the kitchen and she went to town. She was doing as well as any of the folks in our class.
Maybe someone needs a loom for her birthday.

  3. HELLO ANONYMOUS!
I am using Somoko for the warp and Trail Socks for the weft.
I was going to go boring and use some stash, but the colors here just called my name.

  5. HELLO JESSICA! I applaud your efforts in avoiding stash depletion... a very real, very serious danger that should be avoided at all costs.

  6. Yay you! Maybe next cycle I'll be able to fit a weaving class into my schedule. Need to use up some of this fingering weight somehow. :-/

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Elder will be mighty sad when your class loom rental terminates...
