vetoed

Well, I have been overruled on the issue of freckles on the doll.
Here she is sans freckles.

If only real freckles were that easy to eradicate...
During the summer my face undergoes a freckle explosion, I mean freckles on the eyelids and earlobes.
In my youth I had fantasies of a freckle-free face, there are some pretty funny episodes in the Anne of Green Gables books about freckle eradication.
It may be time to bust those out again, I love Anne of Green Gables.
And with that tangential leap,
I bid you good night.
Jess

  1. Oh, I love freckles. You're so lucky to have them. When I was in Jr. High, I used to 'apply' freckles to my nose with a light brown eyeliner pencil ;-) -- the things 13 year old girls do!! Think they'd be cute on your adorable little doll too.

P.S. I have a beautiful little 3 year old granddaughter named Chloe.

  3. She's lovely, but I dare say freckles would be a nice touch too :) I love Anne of Green Gables too, and reread it before a recent trip to PEI. Anne was just as spunky and melodramatic as I remembered, and I found myself sighing over Gilbert all over again.

  4. I was curious how freckles would look when I made Gina her Chloe doll for Christmas. I really wanted to make a doll that resembled her, freckles and all. Needless to say I left them out too. I think your doll is cute, and I think removing the freckles did make her face even more adorable. I am a HUGE freckle lover in real life ;)

  5. Freckles. Definitely. They add personality, pizazz. Just not too many. Whoever overruled you needs to be overruled. My family is covered in freckles, and red hair, and I think they are as beautiful as this doll.
