Yarn Along! My favorite day of the week.
This has been a good knitting and crocheting week for me.
finished the hat I started last week, (also, as I typed that sentence just now I got this in my head ) and I have made some good progress on the matching sweater for She-Who-Has-Not-Been-Named, and I also have been working on a crocheted rag-rug project with my daughter.
It started out as a pile of t-shirts, but now it's a fun rainbow-y rug-to-be!
Can you tell it's been kind of cloudy and grey here lately? lots of colors coming from those needles of mine :)
This week I started reading Treasure Island, but I got about as far as I did the last time I tried to read it, when I was in High School, which is about 3 pages.
There's been a lot of late-night belly dancing from a certain Threetus the Fetus, and so I am waking up in the morning not feeling all that rested.
This has the cascading effect of the kids being sent to school without a home lunch most days (the lunches at school are much healthier than when I was a kid) and also I don't really have the attention span for reading.
It is an interesting story, though, so I'll sally forth.
What's on your needles/hooks/nightstand this week?
I still love the pattern you are knitting up! It is just darling :) I hope the dancing slows down so you can get your rest!ReplyDelete

I love everything you've got going. I need some bright colors here in New England, too. Stupid weather! ;-)ReplyDelete
Loving everything your working on! the colors are soo nice!ReplyDelete
Love the rainbow rug! We have a few rag rugs I crocheted in my house, and I'm saving up t-shirts right now to make one for my brother's house, because he requested one (if I really get on the ball, I might manage to finish it for his birthday . . . in December.).ReplyDelete
All really beautiful work, love the idea of the rag rug, thanks for inspiring : )ReplyDelete
I love strawberries. Your hat and jumper look gorgeous. I'm very impressed by your crochet rag rug.ReplyDelete
Send some bright colours down this way please. We could really use some too. The colours you have going are really lovely.ReplyDelete
The finished strawberries are so cute, and your names for the baby are just cracking me up! I'd love to try one of those rugs, too! Hope next week is just as productive!ReplyDelete
love your colorful photo and knitting!ReplyDelete
Oh how I love strawberries! Do you think you can get away with putting a little bit of strawberry on a boy?ReplyDelete
Did Mark tell you that our B was Cletus the Fetus? Love those names. Can't believe you only have about 8 weeks left! Sending good sleeping thoughts your way.ReplyDelete
